A Coaling Alabama couple has donated a wheelchair to 10 year old Andy Correa, after hearing that his chair had been stolen.

Michael Hopkins and his wife told the Tuscaloosa News they had kept a wheelchair and thought about selling it. Now the family believes they kept the chair for a reason. "Some things are just meant to happen that are out of our control and this is one of those things", Michael Hopkins said.

The Hopkins family had kept the chair in their garage for three years.

Andy's wheelchair and custom walker were stolen from the family's mobile home off Rice Mine road.

Police are looking for suspect Tony Whitehead. He was identified on surveillance video and is well known to police. Whitehead reportedly sold the wheelchair for $30 as scrap metal.

The Hopkins family are real heroes for donating their chair to Andy. A great example of people helping people.
