The FDA said it is now working with Family Dollar stores to recall all affected products.
Contaminated products include food, pet food, cosmetics, medications, and medical devices that were sold in January or February 2022 at Family Dollar Stores in Alabama and other surrounding southern states.  Family Dollar listed 404 stores in the South that may have sold contaminated products, according to the Food and Drug Administration.

Family Dollar corporate says it is not aware of any customer complaints or reports of illness related to the recall.

Family Dollar is notifying all stores by letter asking them to check their merchandise to stop the sale of any products affected by rodents in the Family Dollar supply warehouse.

If you purchased an affected product, you may return it to Family Dollar without a receipt.
