Central Mesa Restaurant Opens in Downtown Tuscaloosa
After months of renovations, Central Mesa opened its doors this week in Tuscaloosa.
The restaurant, which occupies former Epiphany Farm-to-Table space, is the latest addition to a growing food scene downtown, and if its owner is any indication, Central Mesa could quickly become a local favorite. Craig Williams owns and operates Avenue Pub, which sits a few blocks away in Temerson Square, and will do the same thing at the new restaurant.
He's teamed up with local chef Sarah Newman to create a menu of Mexican-inspired dishes like tacos with house-made tortillas and spicy chicken tostadas along with some unique items like brisket & grits and chorizo mac 'n cheese. Check out a picture of the menu and cocktail list in the photo gallery above to see everything they have to offer.
With the restaurant still in something of a soft opening stage, now would be a good time to stop in if you're wanting to try it out. You can stay updated on the restaurant on their Facebook page here.
