CDC Warns Alabama Of HIV Transmitted In Tattoo Needles

Three women were diagnosed with HIV after getting "vampire facial" treatments at an unlicensed spa.

This was the first time HIV was transmitted through a cosmetic needle procedure, according to the CDC.

During a vampire facial, blood is drawn from a person, plasma is separated, and then it's reinjected into the face with small needles. The problem here was that the needles were reused instead of being thrown away after one use, which led to HIV being spread.

As if this isn't bad enough, it's no wonder we managed to put 6 Alabama cities in the top 100 with the highest spread of STDs.

And if that's not bad enough, we managed to get one city into the top 10. Definitely not the top 10 I ever want to see.

STDs don't discriminate. Both men and women spread STDs at a similar rate. Sometimes unknowingly.
