So Apparently we didn't take this recall seriously.

This is killing people, folks.

Throw it away, and don't buy any till they fix the problem.

Most Publix stores in Alabama sell Boar's Head in their deli departments.

Publix has 90 stores across the state of Alabama.

The issue with the meat began back in July, but it just now is causing serious illnesses and deaths.

In the most recent report, nine people have died after consuming the tainted meats.

In this case, most of the fingers are pointing at a Boar's Head plant located in Virginia.

I spoke with a spokesperson at the plant who could not be sure how much of this bad meat made it to Alabama.

That plant has been featured on CBS News due to "dozens of violations" and each one of them is pretty disgusting. Several of the violations had to do with bugs, mold, and mildew.

How could this happen? How could a major meat company allow this to happen and then send the meat to stores like Publix?

The recall of meat impacted 71 different products in the Boar's Head lineup.

57 people have been hospitalized and 9 dead due to this outbreak.

The USDA says they have sent a large group of inspectors to make sure the company is operating safely.

In addition, the plant spokesperson told me that they can not be sure if contaminated meat was sold in August.

Check your meat, or just throw it out.
