
First Take Set to Go Live from Magic City Classic
Every year the Alabama economy receives a huge economic boost with the Magic City Classic. This event has roots all the way back to 1945 as Alabama State University and Alabama A&M University have participated in their annual game since then.

The Magic City Classic has a reported $25 Million impact of the state of Alabama. The impact of the Magic City Classic is set to grow this year with national attention on the horizon.
First Take has a history of visiting HBCUs or in support of HBCU week since 2019. The show has traveled to Winston-Salem State University (2023) and home to alum, Smith; and to Florida A&M with comedian Kevin Hart and movie producer Will Packer (2021).
Last year, the show visited three HBCUs: Howard University, Tennessee State University and Clark Atlanta at Morehouse College. This year, ESPN's First Take will broadcast live from the Magic City Classic on October 24th.
