The whole thing seems a bit crazy to me.

Is Cracker Barrel really that concerned about earrings?

These kind of things are always tricky because we only get to see a video that is a few minutes long.

Many times that can be very revealing or bring up many more questions.

At first watch it appears that the employee is being “picked on” or “targeted”.

The employee is making the point that she believes she is being targeted because she states that other workers are also wearing items that are in violation of the employee policy.

This afternoon, I took a phone call from an employee who said that she was looking to speak up for the employee in the video.

This employee also told me that she has been at the restaurant for a few years and has seen this happen to other black employees in the past.

The employee did ask to remain anonymous in this situation.

I guess ultimately it’s in the eye of the person who watches the video and determines whether or not they think this employee is being “discriminated” against.
