It's been a difficult end to the 2021 college football season for the Auburn Tigers. First year head coach Bryan Harsin lost the final four games of the season, finished the season 6-6 and qualified for the Birmingham Bowl.

The hits keep rolling for Harsin this week as starting quarterback Bo Nix announced he was entering the transfer portal on Sunday but he's not the only one.

According to Justin Hokanson of On3 Sports, Auburn sophomore running back Tank Bigsby is expected to join Nix in the transfer portal.

Bigsby was the 2020 SEC Freshman of the Year and has served as the Tigers' starter for the last two seasons. He leaves Auburn with 1,837 yards and 15 rushing touchdowns.

The LaGrange, Georgia native's most memorable play this season perhaps came in the Iron Bowl against No. 3 Alabama. Bigsby and the Tigers were trying to salt the game away and secure a huge win for Harsin but the running back failed to stay in bounds, saving time for Alabama to complete its comeback.

Bigsby is not the only Auburn running back to leave the Tigers after the 2021 season. Senior Shaun Shivers has opted to leave the Auburn program and use his final season of eligibility in the Big 10.

Shivers only toted the rock 14 times this season for 87 yards and a touchdown in 2021, he also hauled in 22 receptions for 163 yards and a touchdown.

The Tigers have now lost its starting quarterback and its top two running backs as national signing day approaches. Can Harsin and his coaching staff hit the recruiting trail hard enough to replace the lost talent? Time will tell.
