Aliceville Mayor Announces Plans To Honor Robert Wilder

It was announced Thursday that beloved Aliceville District 4 City Councilman Robert Wilder passed away.

"God is too wise to make a mistake and too right to ever be wrong," a Facebook post made by Dominique Wilder read.

"Even in his final days, he still was giving! Somedays, he was running on fumes, but STILL giving!"

Current Aliceville Mayor Terrence E. Windham posted an announcement with plans to honor the Councilman popularly known as "Cookie Man."

"It is with deep sorrow and sadness I share with you our beloved Councilman Robert “Cookie Man” Wilder passed away on yesterday. Please keep his family in prayer," Windham posted Thursday.

"I ask ALL flags in Aliceville to be at half mast the next 15 days in honor of his decades of noble service to our community."

Funeral arrangement have not yet been announced for Robert Wilder.
