Alabama’s Smokin’ its Way to the South’s Top Barbecue Hit List
Southern Living has released its annual list of the South's annual ranking of the best 50 BBQ restaurants. The cities recognized for incredible BBQ range from Atlanta, Lexington, Memphis, Pearland, and more.
How Did Southern Living Rank the BBQ Spots?
Experience is at the forefront of the decision-making. To qualify, a restaurant must serve mouthwatering barbecue, but there are additional factors to consider like "sauces county, presentation counts, and so do the side dishes and desserts,” said Robert F. Moss from Southern Living.
The overall rankings are based on qualitative aspects such as the satisfaction derived from the meal and the overall experience during the visit.
Out of the 50 BBQ restaurants, three Alabama hot spots made the Southern Living’s list.
