Alabama’s Largest Church Announces Return Of In-Person Sunday Services

We all have been dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic and how it has forced us into new situations, some we like, and some we don’t.  One area that was impacted heavily by the coronavirus pandemic was in-person church services.  Many of us switched to on-line virtual services, which I have enjoyed.  However, some Alabamians are desiring the need to be the presence of the church atmosphere.  Alabama’s Largest Church announced the return of its in-person church services.  The Church of the Highlands will return to in-person services on Sunday, June 21, 2020.  Pastor Chris Hodges made this announcement in a Facebook post.  Also, he discussed the current plan for the Church of the Highlands in a video posted to Facebook.  He had many amazing messages.  One that resonated with me that they were able to “mobilize to serve outside the walls of the church.”  In the video, he noted that the “rebuilding gathering slowly” and mentioned that the Church of the Highlands would also resume prayer services on June 6, 2020.  I felt that Pastor Chris Hodges really hit home with me when he said, “there’s just something special that happens when God’s people come together.”
