Alabama’s Dining Treasure Closes Original Location After 20 Years
One of Alabama's dining treasures is closing its original location today and moving to a new spot.
Tin Top Restaurant & Oyster Bar, located in the fishing village of Bon Secour
Bob and Patty Hallmark opened Tin Top Restaurant & Oyster Bar 20 years ago.
Over the years, Tin Top Restaurant & Oyster Bar has become a beloved spot for many.
The Tender Fenton, is a favorite, a 10-ounce tenderloin and an order of Tin Top’s signature Oysters Fenton served in a bowl of house-made steak sauce. The dish is topped with two pieces of toasted French bread for dipping.
“It’s bittersweet,” the restaurant posted on Facebook. “Today is our last day at the location that has been home for the past 20 years.
“As this chapter comes to a close, we are excited to begin the next chapter in our new location on the Bon Secour River soon. We will announce our opening once our move is finalized. Our new address will be 17451 County Road 49 South in Bon Secour.
“Come by for one last meal at our original location if you can. If not, we look forward to seeing you soon at the new one.
“Thanks, everyone, for your love and support over the years. We look forward to seeing you soon.”
