We had a whole family of sharks swimming around in a packed cove.

Paul Hubble, who witnessed the event, reflects on how people often underestimate the presence of sharks in the area. During this particular incident, a group of hammerhead sharks, estimated to be around 6 to 10 feet, gathered near the island.

The most frequently encountered shark species in Alabama waters include

Bull sharks

Blacktip sharks

Spinner sharks

Tiger sharks

and occasionally Hammerheads

Now we have these two catching a 13 ft great white shark on an Alabama beach.
