Alabama redshirt running back Trey Sanders is in stable condition with "non-life-threatening injuries" after he was involved in a car accident Friday morning.

“We are in direct contact with his family and the physicians that are treating him as we continue to gather more information,” Alabama head coach Nick Saban said in a  statement Friday.

The former five-star recruit from Florida was injured for most of the 2019 season after suffering a foot injury during fall camp. In four games this season, Sanders totaled 134 rushing yards on 30 carries. Sanders set a career-high in rushing yards and attempts last week against Mississippi State where he tallied 12 carries for 80 yards rushing.
