Alabama Law Says Your Boss Must Give You Time Off To Vote

Election day is Tuesday November 8th. Finally! Alabama law requires employers give workers an hour off to vote. The law does not require the boss to pay you for that hour.

Polls open in the Tuscaloosa area from 7am till 7pm.

Your employer is allowed to determine what time a person can leave to vote.
