The 2020 college football season has been quite a ride and its nearly over as most of the country enters the final week of the regular season. The College Football Playoff Committee has released its third edition of its rankings tonight and gave a glimpse of what the final edition will look like.

The Alabama Crimson Tide hold on firmly to the No. 1 spot in the poll for the third straight week. Alabama is coming off a 55-17 victory over the LSU Tigers and will close out the regular season with a trip to Arkansas before meeting up with Florida in the SEC Championship game.

Notre Dame remains in the second position after it took out Syracuse 45-21. The Irish have completed its regular season after the ACC decided it would not reschedule its previously postponed game with Wake Forrest. Notre Dame will play Clemson in the ACC Championship on Dec. 19.

Clemson cruised to a big 45-10 win over the Virginia Tech Hokies ensuring the Tigers would finish its regular season with a 9-1 record. The ACC did not reschedule its previously postponed game with Florida State therefore its next game will come in a rematch with Notre Dame in the ACC Championship.

Despite the outcry from fans, Ohio State holds onto the No. 4 spot after the Buckeyes took down rival Michigan State 52-12. The Buckeyes' playoff chances remain in the air as it appears its regular season is over.
