The Alabama woman’s gymnastics team competed at the 2021 NCAA championships this past weekend in Fort Worth, Texas. Alabama competed against Michigan, Oklahoma, UCLA, Utah, Florida, Minnesota, and LSU. Bama placed fifth overall and lost to Oklahoma in the semi-finals Friday night. Michigan went on to place first overall. Although Alabama as a team placed fifth, senior Lexi Graber and sophomore Luisa Blanco took home first in individual exercises.

Graber took first in floor to become the NCAA floor exercise champion.

Last season, Graber had 10 individual wins during a shorter COVID season. She was also the 2019 SEC balance beam champion and selected All-SEC.

Blanco took first on the balance beam to become the NCAA balance beam champion.

As a freshmen last season, Blanco won three balance beam and two floor exercise titles. She was also a 2020 SEC All-Freshmen and Scholastic All-American.

During this past Friday nights events, Alabama finished strong with a season high on floor exercise with a score of 197.5750.

Alabama gymnastics finishes the 2021 season ranked fifth in the nation according to Road To Nationals.
