Warning For Alabamians Going To The Beach
The Alabama department of public Health is warning swimmers to use extreme caution as cases of a potentially life-threatening, flesh-eating bacteria are seen along the Gulf.

There have been 16 cases of vibriosis in Alabama, including one that has rended in death.
Vibriosis is caused by Vibrio bacteria,, more commonly known as flesh eating bacteria.
The bacteria thrives in warm coastal waters. Officials warn that the timing and location of swimming are critical factors in exposure. May through October is high risk because of the warmer water.
The Alabama Department of Public Health advises to not swim with any open wounds during this time.
The pool overlooking the beaches might be the safest option.
