The Snack Alabama Is Known For, But Not Everyone Eats It?

Over the years, Alabama has become a place that My family calls home. Being from Florida, there are some things we knew about Alabama and some things we just never thought would be different from being at home.

There's so many things We've been learning about people who grew up in Alabama and it's really shocking.

By now, I've accepted that Florida is not a southern state. Although geographically in the south. It's just something different about the state of Florida. It's definitely a "city folk" state overall.

We have our parts of the state where it reminds me of Alabama but for the most part, we're not southern.

The confusing thing is that what I thought was a traditionally southern snack, I'm finding out many people who grew up in Alabama don't like this snack.

Boiled peanuts. Yes, there are people who were born and raised in Alabama that don't like boiled peanuts. I'm just as shocked as you.

Who ever thought this was possible?!

Known as the "Caviar of the south" and you don't eat them IN THE SOUTH?! Honestly, these have to be mostly Auburn and LSU fans because all of the true Alabama fans I know love boiled peanuts.

So now the question becomes this... How many people do you know in Alabama that don't like boiled peanuts?
