The Alabama Crimson Tide men's and women's basketball programs are set to celebrate the start of their respective seasons with the Tide Tipoff event. The event, which features both Nate Oats and Kristy Curry's programs will be held on Friday, Oct. 22 at 7:30 p.m. CT in Foster Auditorium.

The event will feature hype videos for both programs, shooting and skills competitions, coaching interviews, giveaways and more. The exclamation mark to close the event will be a dunk contest with celebrity judges.

Foster Auditorium will open at 6:30 p.m. for the event and limited seating will be first come, first serve with general admission. Event staff will set up a large video screen outside Foster for fans who can't make it into the 3,800 seat facility.

Those unable to make the event in person don't have to miss out as they can find it online via SEC Network +.

This will be the first opportunity for Alabama fans to meet sensational freshman JD Davison. He was the top player in the state of Alabama last year and is the leading member of Alabama's No. 14 ranked 2021 recruiting class.

The Crimson Tide men's team is looking to defend its 2020 SEC regular season and tournament championships while also looking to advance further than last season's Sweet 16 appearance.

The Alabama women's team made the NCAA tournament for the first time since 1999 in the 2020-21 season. Curry returns seniors Megan Abrams and Hannah Barber to lead the 2021-22 squad.
