There are 32 days until the SEC starts its football season and today the Associated Press announced its 2020 Preseason All-American Team. Much like that preseason poll included nine teams that will not be playing this year, the All-American team included 23 players that will not be playing.

The Crimson Tide lead the nation with six selections on the list, double the next highest schools with three selections.

Alex Leatherwood was one of the first team tackles along with Oregon's Penei Sewell. The senior has played in 35 total games for the Crimson Tide and will likely go in the first round of next spring's NFL Draft.

Devonta Smith was one of the first team wide receivers along with LSU's Ja'Marr Chase. The senior has played in 41 games for the Crimson Tide and has hauled in 118 receptions for 2,109 yards and 23 touchdowns. Smith will likely assume the role of the Tide's top receiver after the departure of Jerry Jeudy and Henry Ruggs III.

Dylan Moses was one of the first team linebackers along with Penn State's Micah Parsons and Oregon State's Hamilcar Rashed. Moses is returning from an ACL injury that cost him all of last season. He has played in 26 games for the Tide accumulating 116 tackles, five sacks, two forced fumbles and one interception.

Najee Harris is one of the second team running backs along with Kenneth Gainwell of Memphis. Harris has amassed 2,377 yards and 20 rushing touchdowns during his time in Tuscaloosa. He only needs 1,214 rushing yards this season to become the Crimson Tide's all-time leading rusher.

Jaylen Waddle was the second team's all-purpose player, the junior has been exciting during his time as a kick returner and fourth wide receiver. He has 78 receptions with 1,408 yards receiving and 13 touchdowns, he also has three returning touchdowns as well. He should see an increase in production with a larger role in 2020.

Patrick Surtain II was one of the second team cornerbacks, the junior has played in 28 games. The junior has forced eight turnovers during his time in Tuscaloosa. He has earned All-SEC Freshman team, Freshman All-American by The Athletic in 2018 and honorable mention All American by Pro Football Focus in 2019.
