Agiye Hall Slams Alabama Fans, “They’re Not Really Loving”
Despite leaving the team this offseason, former Crimson Tide wideout Agiye Hall continues to be a topic of widespread discussion.
In his lone season at Alabama, the former four-star created more questions than answers, often finding himself embroiled in some sort of controversy. While it was rarely anything more serious than a curious tweet or a rogue comment on a discussion board, Hall's time in Crimson was full of ups and downs to say the least.
After announcing his decision to transfer from Alabama in early April, Hall quickly followed it up with another announcement that he would be choosing Texas as his transfer destination.
While Hall declined to speak directly on what went into his decision to transfer, he managed to possibly shed some light on the choice.
Diving into what stood out on his visit to Texas following his entrance into the transfer portal, Hall said, "One thing that really stood out is the culture. Bama fans — they’re not really loving, if I could say — even when you leave. Texas fans are like a family. They love you unconditionally. They want the best for you and want to make sure you’re striving to be the best person you are, whether it’s people in the stands, players or coaches - they’re all connected, which is a good thing.”
Hall is currently back home in Florida, finishing up his spring semester online and working out with his former 7-on-7 coach, Woodrow Grady. Grady, who has worked with Hall since he was in the eighth grade, and has seen several NFL wide receivers play on his 7-on-7 teams, called the young wideout, "As talented as any receiver I've ever coached."
Grady elaborated on Hall's talent further, saying, "If Agiye would have remained at Bama, and things went a different way, he probably would have been the best wide receiver to ever put on an Alabama uniform."
The Longhorns play host to the Crimson Tide in week two of the 2022 season, giving Hall a chance at revenge against his former team. While the young receiver has certainly shown, in flashes, that he is a capable target, Hall will face off against one of the nation's top secondaries when he takes on against Alabama.
