Music festivals have become as big a part of summer in the south as sun tea, backyard cookouts and pool parties!

Thousands held down the sand last weekend for the Hangout Festival in Orange Beach and many of those same festival goers have their eyes set on the many others popping up before the summer's end.

Here are three music festivals in the state of Alabama that you may need to go ahead and put on your schedule.

    Toadlick Music Festival

    Toadlick Music Festival is 3 days packed with big name artists and a small town feel! It goes down June 2nd-4th at the National Peanut Festival Fairgrounds in Dothan, AL. This year's lineup consists of Alabama, Kid Rock, Justin Moore, Eli Young Band, Charlie Daniels Band, Ashley Monroe, Daughtry, Aaron Lewis, and more!     Rock the South

    Rock the South returns to Cullman, AL on June 3rd & 4th and promises to be bigger than ever before! Thomas Rhett will headline Friday night while Florida Georgia Line finishes up Saturday! Other artists on the bill include: Kelsea Ballerini, Cole Swindell, .38 Special, Joe Diffie, Kane Brown, John Michael Montgomery, and more.

    Sloss Music & Arts Festival

    Now in it's second year, Sloss Music & Arts Festival goes down July 16th & 17th at the historic Sloss Furnaces in downtown Birmingham. Along with music on three different stages, concertgoers can also take in the art vendors, Piggly Wiggly Craftly Beerly Garden, see hands on iron pouring and more! Music acts include: Ryan Adams and the Shining, Death Cab For Cutie, Ray Lamontagne, The Flaming Lips, Ben Harper, Grouplove, Fitz & The Tantrums, Anderson East, Shovels & Rope, and more!
