2014 Alabama State & Legends Memorial Open Turkey Calling Championships June 28

2014 Alabama State & Legends Memorial Open Turkey Calling Championships June 28th will be hosted by Woods and Water. Registration for the State Championship divisions will be from 9:00am to 10:00am on the day of the event. The callers/judges meeting will take place immediately following the close of registration and competitions will begin at 10:30am. The awards presentation for the state championship divisions will take place immediately after the state divisions have ended.

Registration for the Senior Open and Open Friction divisions will be from 9:00am to 1:30pm. The callers/judges meeting will take place immediately following the close of registration and competitions will begin at 2:00pm.

Divisions:

State Open Poults Division: No entry fee, prizes awarded to all contestants. Contestants must be 10 years of age or younger.

State Open Junior Division: $25 entry fee with cash $, prizes, & plaques to top 3 places. Contestants must be under 21 years of age on the day of the contest and the competition is open to residents of any state. *Winner to receive the Jamie Diane Slayton Memorial plaque.

State Hunter Division: $25 entry fee with cash $, prizes, & plaques to top 3 places. Contestants may be Alabama residents of any age and must not have won multiple senior/open championships prior to this competition. *Winner to receive the Buck Burns Memorial plaque.

State Senior Division: $50 entry fee, plaques to top five places. Cash $ awarded to top 3 places. **State Championship Ring to winner. Contestants must be residents of the state of Alabama & 21 years of age or older. *Winner to receive the Ben Rodgers Lee Memorial trophy.

State Friction Division: $50 entry fee, plaques to top five places. Cash $ awarded to top 3 places. **State Championship Ring to winner. Contestants must be residents of the state of Alabama & 21 years of age or older. The competition shall follow GNCC rules with all calls performed limited to friction style calls. *Winner to receive the Doug Camp Memorial trophy.
