Race will be held at the Tuscaloosa Regional Airport

Last year's event took place at Griffin Farms, but the 2016 version will be held at the Tuscaloosa Regional Airport. A flatter course should make for an easier run and the convenient location will save you more time for the rest of your Saturday.

This is the event's 2nd year in Tuscaloosa

The Insane Inflatable 5K is only three years old, but this will be the national event's second stop in Tuscaloosa. More than 3,000 people showed up for last year's debut and the event organizers couldn't wait to bring the run back to Title Town.

The 2016 event will have beer

The Tuscaloosa Regional Airport also means beer for runners! The Traveler Beer Company will be set up at the Midway this year to keep the participants refreshed. Also, be on the lookout for free race codes they'll be handing out around Tuscaloosa over the next few weeks.

It's the fastest growing fun run in the Nation

When we talked to one of the event's co-creators, Stuart Kaul, in February, he told us that the Insane Inflatable 5K is the fastest growing fun run in the nation. With all of the races available each year, that should tell you just how entertaining this run is for the thousands that come out.

    Runners should arrive early

The event encourages all runners to arrive an hour before their wave time. That will allow for any parking delays, registration, complimentary bag check, and time to get your bib and wrist band. There will be vendors, activities and the Midway to enjoy if you have any extra time.

    Six new obstacles in 2016

Even if you ran in 2015, this year's course will still present a lot of new challenges. The couse was announced earlier this year and six new obstacles have been added, which means that more than half of the course will be brand new for everyone.

    Parking is $10

Load up your car and make sure you bring cash to park at the Tuscaloosa Regional Airport. Each car will be $10 so carpool and save some money and gas!

    You pick your start time

One of the great aspects of the Insane Inflatable 5K is that you have control of when you want to run. Waves begin every 15 minutes so you have the choice to run as early as 8:30am or as late as 11am. Or you can any of the waves as often as you'd like with the All-Access Pass.

There are multiple price increases before the run

FACT: the cheapest you'll be able to get into the run from now until the day of the event is right now! Over the next four weeks, there will be three separate price increases so get a group of friends together, pick your wave time, and get registered. Take a look at the schedule below.

    Costumes are welcome

The number one mission for the Insane Inflatable 5K is to have a good time. There's no better way to do that then to dress up on the day of the race. We saw some great group and individual costumes last year and can't wait to see what you come up with in 2016.
