We're just days away from the start of October, and yet we're looking at high temperatures near 100 every day this weekend. Is it EVER going to feel like fall in West Alabama?

ABC 33/40 Chief Meteorologist James Spann says we can expect record temperatures, as a strong upper ridge of high pressure won't move much in the next five to ten days. Little to no rain is in the forecast, which means drought conditions will continue.

There does seem to be some good news in the future: the ridge could weaken and move to the west sometime in the next ten days.
