Who Won The Honda 3-Wheeler From Kroger in the Mid 80’s

It's April Fools Day. We were talking about pranks we've pulled on people. Kimberly told a story about the time she and her friend Marsha pranked called a kid and told him he won the 3 wheeler that the old Kroger in Northport was giving away in the mid-80's. That led me to ask who actually won it. We are on a mission to find out.

Kimberly says every kid in the area had registered for the Honda ATC-110 3 wheeler. She painted a pretty descriptive picture of the Honda displayed on or near some brand of soft drink. Was it Pepsi? This has been a while ago, I understand that. But there has to be some information floating around still today.

We talked with the City of Northport and found out that Kroger closed around 1994. We need a managers name or an employees name to ask a few questions. I tried searching the Tuscaloosa News archives on Google but I really need the year the 3 wheeler was given away.  We think it was in the mid 80's. Maybe '85 or '86. Kimberly can't remember.
