The Steve Shannon Morning Show with Simone Eli launched on Monday and I appointed myself as show engineer to help get them through week one.

I've really lucked out in that roll over the last three days thanks to minimal problems and the quick learning abilities of our new hosts and producer. But there's always Thursday and Friday...

Okay, so to give you a behind the scenes setup, Steve is at the controls, Simone commands the second microphone, Audio Bob is the show's right hand, and Diesel the pit bull is just 120lbs. of emotional zen.

I thought I'd break down a few things about each of them to help you better understand who you're listening to each morning starting at 5 am on 95.3 The Bear.

Let's start with Steve. With more years in the business than I have, Steve is an absolute professional. He's super prepared, knows how to properly fill a hole in a conversation and is a genuinely funny person! But, Simone and Audio Bob will have to remember to stock the studio closet with Snickers because every now and again he may act a little Aretha Franklin up in that confined space. Just saying.

Simone... Simone... Simone. Okay, here goes. She know more about sports than most men I know, is extremely social media savvy, has probably planned her wedding since she was a small child, understands how a broadcast team works, and does not eat eggs. What? Who doesn't eat eggs?

Audio Bob is the show's producer and is crazy knowledgeable about the technical side of running a radio show. He's also the first person I've ever met that speaks Russian (English is his second language) and is an amazing dog trainer. Which brings me to Diesel the pit bull, Audio Bob's dog. He's one of the sweetest and calm animals I've ever met. The kinda dog that would make a cat person want a dog.

The long and short of it, give the show a listen with an open mind. It's good and you've got some quality talent on your team that loves our community and will do anything they can to make it better.
