The union wants the recent vote overturned and a re-vote ordered by the union friendly National Labor Relations Board.
The vacation driving season is here, and the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency is intensifying traffic rule enforcement. ALEA investigated more than 31,000 crashes in 2023. 560 people died in those accidents. ALEA Senior Trooper Brandon Bailey cautions motorists that traffic laws exist to encourage safety. Bailey says a growing number of crashes are the result of distracted driving from people on their cellphones and texting while driving.
The Transportation Safety Administration (TSA) is reminding those flying on their vacation to not leave a firearm in their luggage. The agency says 39 firearms have already been discovered in carry-on luggage at Birmingham-Shuttlesworth International Airport so far this year.
