Wet Weather Outlook

Today, there is a chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 1 p.m., across West Alabama. In locations where storms intensify, there is a potential for heavy rain, gusty winds, and lightning.

Temperature Relief

The short answer is yes and no.

Yes, temperatures will start to decline. However, it’s still summer in the south, so don’t expect a massive cool-down, even though you will feel the difference, as it has been extremely hot.

James Spann, ABC 33/40, and Townsquare Media Tuscaloosa Chief Meteorologist said, “As heat levels drop, coverage of scattered showers and storms will gradually rise.”

Stay hydrated and take your umbrella today.
