The Chamber of Commerce of West Alabama has been named 2021 Chamber of the Year, the highest honor from the Association of Chamber of Commerce executives.

Chamber of Commerce of West Alabama Executive Director Jim Page told the Steve Shannon Morning Show that it was all about teamwork.

The 2021 Chamber of the year award honors work done by the chamber in 2019 and 2020.
This award is especially significant because it represents and reflects
overcoming obstacles caused by the Corona-19 virus. This was a time that tested many West Alabama businesses.

The Chamber of Commerce of West Alabama had to qualify and meet requirements in at least three of five categories, including net revenue and assets, retention, and membership dollar retention.

Jim Page said this honor is shared with the many Chamber of Commerce of West Alabama volunteers and a dedicated Chamber staff that brings vision and a hard work ethic. And a Chamber committed to taking care of Chamber members. Page said "This is your award. Your time, talent, treasure, and unwavering support positioned this organization to receive this international recognition."

Other cities are now visiting West Alabama to observe firsthand what is working for our region.

The Chamber of Commerce of West Alabama, under the leadership of Executive Director Jim Page, is simply the best.
