Video of ‘Bama Monkey’ Goes Bananas on Social Media

A video of a monkey dressed in Alabama gear has gone viral, even prompting a response from the official Bama football account.

Twitter user Charles Newman shared the video Tuesday, garnering hundreds of rewteets and likes with the footage he captured. In the video below, you can see the monkey hanging out the passenger side of his best friend's ride, and although it appears the little dude may be in peril, he is secured by a leash.

The official Twitter account for the University of Alabama Football team retweeted the video, adding, "We need more Bama Monkey in our lives!"

The video of the now infamous "Bama Monkey" is a welcome distraction in the midst of what is the worst year ever, but it does leave me to wonder if any of y'all have seen Contagion.
