The freshman was asked about having success against the Tide defense and he gave a detailed response.

“Watching film there’s a couple misalignments they’ve had against Texas [and] Utah State," said Swann. "There’s a couple things that they actually let go, so I mean there’s going to be plays to be made and we just got to make them when they give them to us."

The Commodore also noted that the opponent did not matter, when it came to preparing.

“For me I don’t think the opponent really matters. I think it’s more of us playing to who we are and not really who the opponent is,” said Swann.

Swann has been effective for the Commodores earning SEC Freshman of the Week for his performance in Vanderbilt’s week three win over Northern Illinois. Swann went 18-of-28 for 255 passing yards and four touchdowns in his first collegiate start.

Can Swann keep this momentum in his first official SEC start and lead the Commodores to a huge upset?

Kickoff between Alabama and Vanderbilt is set for 6:30 p.m. CST on the SEC Network. Radio coverage will be provided on Tide 100.9 or the Tide 100.9 app.
