University of Alabama Suspends Operations Tuesday, January 29, 2019
The University of Alabama has suspended operations for Tuesday, January 29, 2019 as the treat of a Winter Storm approaches.
The official press release is as follows:
Due to the threat of inclement weather, The University of Alabama will suspend normal operations beginning at midnight through 11 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 29. Classes will be canceled tomorrow.
Campus libraries, recreation centers and health centers will be closed. 348-Ride vans will cease operating at midnight, and Crimson Ride buses will not operate Jan. 29.
Lakeside and Burke dining facilities will open at regularly scheduled time for campus residents. Check bamadining.ua.edu for a list of other Bama Dining services and hours available.
As of now, the Alabama men’s basketball game scheduled for 7:30 p.m. in Coleman Coliseum will be played as scheduled.
At this time, UA plans to resume normal operations at 11 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 29. Campus officials will continue to monitor weather conditions throughout the day.
