UA Student Killed in Tuscaloosa Crash Early Saturday Morning
A 23-year-old University of Alabama student was killed in a crash early Saturday morning in Tuscaloosa.
Trussville native Catherine Virgona was killed when the SUV she was riding in crashed into a guardrail. A 22-year-old male driver was taken to DCH with injuries. No information has been released concerning his condition.
The accident happened at the Southbound junction of I-359 and I20/59. No other vehicles were involved.
Tuscaloosa County Metro Homicide Unit and the Tuscaloosa Police Accident Reconstruction Unit are investigating the cause of the wreck.
