UA football player arrested on domestic violence charges

University of Alabama football player Donnie Lee Jr was arrested early today and charged with third degree domestic violence/assault.  According to the Tuscaloosa News he's accused of attacking his girlfriend during an argument

Lee is a from Northport, a graduate of Tuscaloosa County High School who hasn't seen action for the Tide, this season or last season.  He has been released from the Tuscaloosa County Jail on $1,000 bond.

Head Coach Nick Saban released the following statement:

Donnie Lee, Jr., a walk-on who has not been participating in team activities since a knee injury in August, has been dismissed from our football team and is no longer part of our program. This behavior will not be tolerated from anyone and is not representative of our football program.
