Thursday, October 23, 2025, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Gateway Innovation and Discovery Center, located at 2614 University Blvd East the City of Tuscaloosa will host the 9nth Annual Tech or Treat event.

The event is the city's twist on the traditional "trunk or treat" events that many have come to know. According to a press release sent to Townsquare Medial Tech or treat is where families and children go table to table collecting candy and being introduced to STEAM concepts through activities facilitated by City departments and community organizations.

In a newly released press release, the City of Tuscaloosa announced that booth registration is now open. Community organizations are asked to bring candy and a science, technology, engineering, art or math (STEAM) activity for children. To register for a booth space, please visit tuscaloosa.com/techortreat.
The Tech or Treat event is a completely free community event that's open to all ages. Children attending the event must be accompanied by an adult.
