Tuscaloosa Symphony Orchestra Highlights Central High Art Department
Come one, come all to the Tuscaloosa Symphony Orchestra this Monday at the Moody Concert Hall for an evening of classical music and art titled “Picture This.”
Legendary violinist Adé Williams will perform on March 3 in this special concert, which will also feature performances of Bruch's Violin Concerto No. 1, Mussorgsky and Ravel's Pictures at an Exhibition, and William Grant Still's From the Black Belt Suite.
The New York Times praised Adé Williams as "stunning," recognizing her for her mesmerizing performances and deep audience connection. Williams, who won the prized 2023 Stradivari Society Award, has captured audiences worldwide by playing with top orchestras like the Philadelphia and Cleveland Orchestras and making appearances at iconic locations like Carnegie Hall and Queen Elizabeth Hall in London.

TSO will collaborate with Central High School’s art department for the concert, creating a discernible display influenced by the night's musical medley. This multisensory event, which marries visual art and acoustics, aims to give all guests an unforgettable experience.
Cheers-n-Chat with Adé Williams and Maestro Adam Flatt
Broaden your night at the TSO by joining the Cheers-n-Chat at 6 p.m. before classical music graces your ears. Maestro Adam Flatt and violinist Adé Williams will be interviewed in-depth by APR Classical Music Host David Duff.
In addition to this discussion, you can enjoy wine and hors d'oeuvres for an additional $15. Proceeds will support their music educational programs.
You may purchase tickets for the concert and Cheers-n-Chat at tsoonline.org.
