Investigators with the Tuscaloosa Police Department are asking for help identifying and locating a man accused of robbing a store on Skyland Boulevard with a note and a handgun.

Lt. Teena Richardson, a TPD spokeswoman, said the man entered a store in the 1700 block of East Skyland Boulevard and passed a note to the cashier there demanding the store's money. He then brandished a handgun, according to witnesses.

After taking an undisclosed amount of cash from the register, the man left the area in an unknown direction, Richardson said.

Police are asking anyone with information on the man's identity or whereabouts to call Crime Stoppers at 205-752-7867.
