Tuscaloosa native and American Christian Academy standout athlete Kamari Lassiter announced his top-six college choices on Twitter this evening and it was filled with big name football programs. Lassiter is a 6-foot, 185 pound cornerback who the 247Sports Composite ranks as the number 11 recruit in the state of Alabama. He narrows down his top-six schools to Alabama, Auburn, LSU, Georgia, Florida State and Georgia Tech.

Lassiter plays both wide receiver and cornerback for the American Christian Academy Patriots and his coach Chris Smelley called him a, "tremendous talent."

He called Lassiter on The Gary Harris Show, a great teammate, a hard worker and a tremendous leader.

Lassiter is considered a three-star recruit bye 247Sports but 23 schools have offered him a scholarship at the next level.

Defensive back is certainly a position of need for the Crimson Tide as Patrick Surtain Jr. will likely leave Alabama for the NFL Draft after this season.

Alabama picked up a commitment from cornerback Devonta Smith out of Cincinnati Ohio and is recruiting other corners in the 2021 class in Ga'Quincy Mckinstry and Khyree Jackson.

Adding Lassiter to the class adds homegrown talent and athleticism to the roster, the most recent ACA Patriot to play for the Crimson Tide was Brad Smelley, younger brother of current ACA Coach Chris Smelley.

Alabama offered Lassiter a scholarship in June of 2019, prior to Auburn, Georgia, LSU and Florida State.
