Tuscaloosa Mayor Walt Maddox Calls Monk’s Beer a ‘Masterpiece’

On Thursday, November 10th, Mayor Maddox held the third in a series of 'Mayor's Night Out' public meetings in local breweries at Band of Brothers.

Just over a year ago, Band of Brothers Brewing Company and I teamed up, with a small contribution from me, to create the widely popular Monk on the Radio Belgian Blonde. It has been such a surreal feeling hearing people belly up to many a bar and say to the bartender, "I'll have a Monk on the Radio please."

On Thursday night, I was honored to be able to pour Tuscaloosa Mayor Walt Maddox a small sample of my beer as he began his two hour public meeting.

My Tweet was followed with a response from Mayor Maddox that left me speechless after he called the beer a "masterpiece!"
