
Tuscaloosa Announces City Building Closures for Holiday Weekend
Big holiday weekend coming up in Tuscaloosa. City Hall will be closing on certain days during the holiday weekend, and waste management services will assume an altered schedule as well.

In a recent press release, the City of Tuscaloosa announced that City Hall will be closed on Monday, September 1. City Hall will also be closed at 4 p.m. on Friday, August 29th, and 311 will close at 5 p.m. on the same day.
The press release also stated that the regularly scheduled city council meeting set for Tuesday, September 2nd, will not take place.
Garbage, trash, and recycling collection days will be delayed due to the holiday. According to the press release from the City of Tuscaloosa, the collection days will be as follows next week:
- Monday routes will be collected Tuesday, Sept. 2
- Tuesday routes will be collected Wednesday, Sept. 3
- Wednesday routes will be collected Thursday, Sept. 4
- Thursday routes will be collected Friday, Sept. 5
