According to Stacker, nearly 1 in 5 workers who decided against college, still earn more than those employees with a bachelors.

Stats like this make the conversation about college different. If a child has a plan that doesn’t include college, the chances of it working out for them increased with this statistic.

Stacker compiled a list of the highest paying jobs in Tuscaloosa that don’t require a degree.

Top Paying Jobs In Tuscaloosa Without A Degree

At the top of the list is Transportation, storage and distribution managers. They can make anywhere from $28 to $84 an hour depending on different factors of the job including job history and interview skills.

Coming in at #2 are electrical power line installers and repairers. Surprisingly every position on the top ten of this list makes at least 70k a year & I think these are very good opportunities for those that, for whatever reason, opted out of a college degree.

Today’s market has changed, and better, more fulfilling positions are opening giving those without degree more chances to have a better career and take care of the people closest to them. With the economy being in the state it’s in positions like these to be important because just because a person had a hard time with college doesn’t mean they should be making the minimum salary for their entire life.
