Adopting dogs and cats from the Tuscaloosa Metro Animal Shelter (TMAS) gives homeless animals a second chance at a loving home and a loyal and grateful companion.

Meet Strawberry – A Sweet Gentle Girl

Strawberry is a delightful 2.5-year-old lab/hound mix. This gentle lady is a pro on the leash, making every walk a joyous stroll. When it comes to cuddle time, she's a true enthusiast, and don't even get her started on belly rubs—they're her absolute favorite! She's spayed, up to date on vaccinations, and equipped with her own microchipped.

Meet Daisy – Loveable Senior Cat

Meet Daisy, the charming 10-year-old black domestic shorthair with dreams of a serene and cozy home. She is seeking a peaceful retreat away from the bustling noise of the shelter. Daisy comes spayed and will be all ready with a microchip at the time of her adoption. Plus, her adopter will receive a special rabies voucher, ensuring she gets her vaccine at no additional cost. Daisy is patiently waiting to share her golden years with a special owner.

To find out more about how has the price of gas changed throughout the years, Stacker ran the numbers on the cost of a gallon of gasoline for each of the last 84 years. Using data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics (released in April 2020), we analyzed the average price for a gallon of unleaded regular gasoline from 1976 to 2020 along with the Consumer Price Index (CPI) for unleaded regular gasoline from 1937 to 1976, including the absolute and inflation-adjusted prices for each year.
