On Wednesday evening during the 2021 Alabama Crimson Choice Awards the Paul W. Bryant Student-Athlete was awarded to former Alabama quarterback Mac Jones and Alabama Softball infielder Kaylee Tow.

Created by the Tuscaloosa County Chapter of the University of Alabama Alumni Association in 1985, the Paul W. Bryant Award is presented annually to UA's top male and female student-athlete.

The finalists for this year's Bryant Award were: Chase Lee (baseball), Herbert Jones (men's basketball), Jasmine Walker (women's basketball), Wilson Furr (men's golf), Angelica Moresco (women's golf), Luisa Blanco (gymnastics), Rebekah Stewart (rowing), Kat Rogers (soccer), Matt Menke (men's swimming and diving), Morgan Scott (women's swimming and diving), Edson Ortiz (men's tennis), Alba Cortina Pou (women's tennis), Vincent Kiprop (men's track and field/cross country), Mercy Chelangat (women's track and field/cross country) and Alyiah Wells (volleyball).

Jones, the 15th overall pick to the New England Patriots, won for his play both on and off the field and will look to continue a great Alabama legacy in the NFL.

Tow, who is hitting an impressive .348 batting average with 6 home runs and 39 RBI's, is looking to finish her senior season strong as Alabama prepares to host the SEC Tournament beginning May 11th-May 15th in Tuscaloosa at Rhodes Stadium.
