The Quest for the Championship Hat: Trying to Grab the Gold

So it's no secret that this year's National Championship hat is best one that many have seen in a while. If you haven't seen it, this is what it looks like perched atop Mac Jones and the GOAT himself Nick Saban:

So the second I saw the hat, I knew I needed it. My cousin and her friends were able to wait in line after the game to grab some merchandise, and since I was tied up with other things, I couldn't get it on the night of the victory.

In retrospect I should have asked my cousin to buy the silly thing for me, but we had just won and I was so overjoyed I wasn't thinking right haha.

So began the quest for one thing: that hat! My first stop was Dick's Sporting Goods. Reasoning? Because I had a feeling that Academy was already sold out. Turns out Dick's was also sold out of basically everything, so the first try? Unsuccessful.

I thought well, might as well try the Academy Sports! This time I checked online, and it showed that they had them in stock. Hope was beginning to grow that I'd finally get it. I arrived at Academy to find...no hats. I walked around the store twice to make sure I didn't miss it, and nope no hats.

So at this point, I was thinking of what store would have it, and my last thought was Alumni Hall. I drove up, and lo and behold there they were. In all their glory. There was just one problem.

The store had closed for the night!

Truly Paradise luck kicked in at that moment. The workers there however told me that they opened the next morning at 8 AM.

And the next day, I had finally obtained the golden hat! And it is so lovely in person.
