'The Founder' starring Michael Keaton, tells the true story of how an Illinois salesman Ray Kroc created a billion-dollar empire from someone else's idea.

Michael Keaton stars as Ray Kroc who joined McDonald’s in 1954 and built the hamburger joint into the most successful fast food operation in the world.

The film documents Kroc's introduction to brothers Mac and Dic McDonald, the original owners of the drive-through restaurant, who had purchased five of his Multi-Mixers.

After visiting the San Bernardino store, Ray offered his services to the McDonald brothers, who were looking for a new franchising agent.

Kroc opened the first restaurant of McDonald's, Inc. in Des Plaines, Illinois and grew dissatisfied with the brother's limited vision.

'The Founder' hits theaters on August 5, 2016.
