The Emma Project is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded in April of this year in memory of Emma Kate Jones, an 11-year-old girl from Tuscaloosa who died tragically in 2015. Their purpose is to:

Reach and positively impact people in the community through schools and other organizations that were important to Emma, as a way to honor her life and make a difference in the lives of others.

The non-profit hopes to grow into an organization that will make a fraction of the difference that Emma did in so many lives, and that she will be remembered not for her death, but for her life.

The Emma Project will host a Memorial Bass Tournament at the Binion Creek Landing at Lake Tuscaloosa. September 10th. All proceeds from the tournament will go directly to The Emma Project Memorial Fund at First National Bank.

Entry Fee is $100 per boat with $10 big fish. 1st place wins $1000. See the complete schedule and registration form here.
