This Tuesday marks a special occasion for the City of Tuscaloosa: it's the 20th anniversary of the first vehicle manufactured at the Mercedes-Benz U.S. International's plant right here in West Alabama! Steve Shannon and I were lucky enough to mark this milestone by speaking with CEO of MBUSI Jason Hoff, and I am thrilled to be able to share this special interview with y'all!

Mercedes-Benz U.S. International has brought so many positive changes to Tuscaloosa and West Alabama. Since the first ML320 rolled off the production line in Vance in 1997, more than 2.5 MILLION vehicles have been created here in West Alabama. MBSUI has invested over $4 BILLION dollars into their production facilities, and the corporation currently employs over 1100 West Alabama residents at the Vance plant--and thousands more jobs have been created by plants that supply the Mercedes facility.

MBSUI CEO Jason Hoff joined The Steve Shannon Morning Show Friday (February 10th), and you can listen to the full interview in the video above. It was great to speak with him about the phenominal changes MBSUI has brought to West Alabama and Tuscaloosa--and it was fun to learn that Jason's a Bama fan!

I'd like to say a special thank you to Greg Peebles of Mercedes-Benz of Tuscaloosa for his help in arranging this special interview.
