The Band Perry to Make Their Comeback August 1
The Band Perry are planning their comeback. After their recent appearance on Celebrity Family Feud, the country trio are teasing a big announcement on social media, promising fans that Aug. 1 is "Comeback Day" with a series of cryptic tweets.
In several posts on Twitter, the Band Perry tweet a pink-ish background — sometimes blank — and other reading "Comeback day = August 1" or "TBP CBK" in white lettering. Even more mysterious is that all previous tweets from the Band Perry and the individual members have been deleted from the respective accounts.
While nothing more about the song has has been revealed officially, Headline Planet reports that Aug. 1 will mark the day of a new single added to country radio from the band called “Comeback Kid.”
The Band Perry parted ways with their label Big Machine Records earlier this year. They have since signed a joint deal with Universal Music Group labels Interscope and Mercury Nashville.
Previous reports state that the sibling trio are “transitioning to pop” with their upcoming new release. According to Billboard, Kimberly, Reid and Neil Perry are still working on an upcoming third studio album, tentatively titled Heart + Beat, that will include some of the songs that they recorded before they announced their departure from Big Machine Label Group and Republic Nashville in March of 2016.
As Taste of Country previously reported, the trio released a lead single from the former project titled “Live Forever” in August of 2015, which was a step away from their established country sound and into the pop arena. Though it wasn’t particularly successful in its initial release, “Live Forever” was recently given new life when it was selected as Team USA’s official song for the 2016 Olympics.
